New PhD at Inf6
Our former research assistant Melanie Bianca Sigl successfully defended her dissertation entitled “Learning to Select a Pre-trained Deep-Learning Model for Transfer Learning on Multivariate Time-Series Data” on September 22, 2025.
The examiners were Prof. Klaus Meyer-Wegener and Prof. Bernhard Mitschang (University of Stuttgart). Prof. Richard Lenz was chairman of the examination committee.
After publication of her thesis, Melanie Sigl will be awarded the academic degree “Dr.-Ing.” by the Faculty of Engineering at FAU.
