Excursion 2026

The annual chair outing has always been a highlight for the Computer Science 6 team—and this year, Jan-Lucas Deinhard planed a fantastic day in his hometown, Pegnitz.

After a light breakfast together, we started with a walking tour through Pegnitz’s old town. We then set out on an approximately 11-kilometer hike. Our route took us up the Schlossberg, which offered beautiful views of Pegnitz and the surrounding countryside.

From there, we explored some of the region’s most unique natural landmarks. Along the way we passed the striking rock formation known as the “Tabakspfeife,” explored the Voithshöhle cave, and made our way to the Dianafelsen. The trail took us through the charming landscapes of Franconian Switzerland, and then back to Pegnitz.

To round out the day, we gathered at the base of the Schlossberg for a self-organized picnic in a relaxed atmosphere.

Jan, thanks for the great outing!
